The first word that comes to mind when when clicking through Daniel Gies’ portfolio is, “Whoa.” This super-talented illustrator and animator grew up in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies and lives in Montreal where he works on a variety of award-winning cultural films for the National Film Board among others. In his spare time (!) he puts his digital puppeteering skills to work on a personal film project.
